The work

Moving jobs in Dallas that treat the crew like the business.

Carlos Movers runs local and long-distance moves across the Metroplex from our North Dallas base. The crew is the product: families, apartments, and offices trust us with everything they own, and the people on the truck are why they call back. We hire for care, stamina, and a clean driving record — then we train the rest.

Open roles

Three ways onto the crew.

Start where you fit. Most people begin as a mover and grow into the seat they want.

01

Movers

Lifting, wrapping, loading, and placement on local Dallas-area crews. Full-time days, Monday through Saturday, with overtime in busy season.

02

Drivers

Class A–B drivers who box trucks and straight trucks across Dallas–Fort Worth. Clean record, comfort with city traffic, and a customer-first attitude at the door.

03

Packing team

Kitchens, closets, fragile-only projects, and full-home packs. Detail work with real standards — labeled, padded, and done right the first time.

Pay and conditions

Straight answers about the job.

PayHourly, paid weekly, reviewed as you grow: movers start in the $16–$19 range, drivers in the $19–$24 range, crew leads above that. Tips stay with the crew.01
ScheduleMonday through Saturday, first trucks out early. Sunday is family time. Steady hours year-round — Dallas does not have a dead season.02
Requirements18+, able to lift 100+ pounds repeatedly, pass a background check, and show up on time. Drivers need a valid license and a clean record.03
How to apply

Two minutes, no resume required.

Use the form on this page or call the office and say you are applying. Tell us which role fits, the area you live in, and when you can start. The office follows up within one business day about open crew dates. Do not send Social Security numbers, banking details, or other sensitive documents through the form — that happens after hire, the normal way.

Careers FAQ

What applicants ask before they apply.

Do I need moving experience?

No. Helpers start every week without experience. What matters is showing up on time, taking direction, and treating customers’ homes with care — the crew teaches the rest on real jobs.

What does the training look like?

Your first days are on a crew with a lead: wrapping, loading order, and the standard we run on every truck. Packing gets its own training track. Nobody is thrown onto a truck alone.

Is the work steady year-round?

Yes. Dallas moves in every month — summer is heavy, and the rest of the year stays busy with apartments, offices, and interstates. Full-time means full-time.

Do I need my own transportation?

You need a reliable way to reach the North Dallas base on Coit Road by truck-out time. Crews ride together on the truck from there.

Does applying guarantee a job?

No. The form starts a conversation with the office about current openings and crew dates. Nothing is guaranteed until you have spoken with us and completed the standard checks.

What should I leave out of the application?

Keep sensitive documents out of the form: no Social Security numbers, banking details, or ID scans. Those belong to the hiring process after hire, never to a first message.

belongings and two cars-in addition to 3 canceled flights and 14 day mandatory quarantine once we arrived to Texas. The coordinator kept us informed during the process. When we found out our first flight was cancelled and we would not be able to fly for at least another 3 weeks, they held our shipment for us and kept us updated on when things would arrive so we could plan accordingly. Our things arrived safely and I am thankful for the amazing service we had during these crazy times.

overcharged. It should not have taken 3 people 7.5 hours to pack and move a one bedroom apartment 3 miles. As a retired military wife I have been part of many moves including helping pack for a long-distance move (I was offered a job with the moving company). I think that one of the reasons it took so long was the excessive use of packing materials. It is completely unnecessary and environmentally irresponsible to wrap and tape many of the items individually especially for such a short move.
